PATHWAYS. POLICY. POWER.

At Amplify Her® Foundation, we take a proactive approach to identifying potential grantee partners whose work is most closely aligned with our mission and strategic priorities. This allows us to build deeper, more collaborative relationships with organizations where we see the strongest potential for partnership. As such, we will not be hosting an annual open call for letters of inquiry moving forward.

If, after reviewing the information below, you feel your organization is strongly aligned with our mission and approach, we invite you to send a brief overview to Laura Risimini, Amplify Her® Foundation Director of Grants at laura@amplifyherfoundation.org.

FUNDING PRIORITIES

To advance gender equity and build a more inclusive future, Amplify Her® Foundation focuses grantmaking on Career Advancement and Leadership Development Pathways for women and girls from underserved communities, particularly in high-growth, high-impact sectors in which women have historically been underrepresented.

We support programs that go beyond building individual leadership skills to create real access, opportunity, and long-term success in fields that shape our economy and society, such as:

  • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)

  • Finance and Investment Management

  • Law and Public Policy

  • Entrepreneurship

We invest in women at every phase of their career because we recognize that leadership is not a destination but a continuum, and that every stage of a woman’s life holds the potential for transformative impact.

We fund programs that offer:

  • Professional Development - Includes programs for career advancement, entrepreneurship, business development support, capacity building, hard and soft skills development, and industry-specific job training.

  • Networks & Community - Includes programs for enhancing social capital through networking opportunities, mentorship, and connecting women and girls with professionals, experts, and peers in their fields of interest.

  • College Access, Persistence & Success: Because higher education is often a key to accessing these fields, we will also invest in initiatives that integrate college access, persistence, and completion strategies - ensuring women and girls are not only prepared to enter higher education, but supported through to graduation and beyond.

We believe real impact comes when pathways are paired with policy. Our grantmaking will continue to complement and reinforce our Unified Policy Platform, which outlines the structural changes needed to ensure lasting gender equity in the following areas: Girls’ Education and Career Readiness, Women’s Economic Mobility, Workplace Equality and Support for Working Caregivers.

To that end, we will also fund organizations that foster civic engagement and policy leadership, equipping women and girls with the tools and training to influence decision-making, advocate for systemic change, and strengthen democratic participation. By investing in community-led advocacy and civic education, we ensure women are not only prepared to lead but are also positioned to reshape the systems that impact their lives and their communities.

KEY CHARACTERISTICS OF SUCCESSFUL GRANTEE PARTNERS

WOMEN-LED

As an organization that lifts up the importance of women’s leadership, we invest in organizations that model and reflect that same commitment. Preference will be given to organizations and/or programs that are women-led, in which 50% or more of senior leadership and decision-making roles within the organization are occupied by women.

DIVERSE & COMMUNITY-CENTERED

Our grantee partners operate with a deep understanding of the communities they serve. They prioritize collaboration with local stakeholders, and most importantly, with women and girls themselves, to ensure that programs are relevant, culturally responsive, and sustainable.

Organizations and/or programs:

  • Reflect the identities, values, and experiences of women and girls by incorporating cultural knowledge and practices into program design, delivery, and evaluation.

  • Ensure that leadership is reflective of the lived experiences of the women and girls they serve.

  • Develop hyper-localized solutions tailored to specific neighborhoods, schools, and/or other demographic groups.

HIGH-QUALITY, GENDER-SPECIFIC PROGRAMMING

Our grantee partners offer consistently high-quality, gender-specific leadership development programming designed to meet the unique needs that women and/or girls face on their leadership journeys. Programs are:

  • Cohort-based & intensive to foster deep learning, collaboration, and peer support, enabling participants to build lasting professional networks.

  • High-touch, in-person, and experiential, with hands-on practice and access to real-life professional development and networking opportunities.

  • Designed for long-term engagement with dedicated alumni support to offer ongoing support, mentorship, and opportunities for collaboration beyond the program’s formal conclusion.

COLLABORATIVE & RELATIONSHIP-DRIVEN

Gender equity is too great a challenge for any one organization to tackle alone. Our grantees recognize the power of collective action and therefore prioritize shared learning, deep collaboration, and relationship-building to amplify their impact and drive meaningful change.

Our grantee partners:

  • Engage with aligned networks and other intersectional social movements.

  • Regularly collaborate to share resources, best practices, and build each other’s capacities, contributing to a more resilient gender equity movement in New York City.

PROVEN TRACK RECORD

Our grantee partners have demonstrated the ability to implement effective programs that have resulted in measurable positive outcomes for women and girls. This includes:

  • Demonstrated impact, with data-informed learning, consistent reporting, and a clear focus on outcomes over outputs.

  • Sound financial management, transparent budgeting practices, and a commitment to long-term sustainability and ethical governance practices

  • The capacity to scale or replicate successful initiatives in other communities.
