What is THE MISSION OF AMPLIFY HER® FOUNDATION?

  • The mission of Amplify Her® Foundation is to support women and girls from underserved communities to become transformative changemakers. We envision a world where all women have the voice, power and agency to drive systemic change. 

How does Amplify Her® Foundation achieve its mission?

  • Amplify Her® Foundation achieves its mission by establishing funding partnerships with community-led organizations in New York City that make progress toward gender equity by building the economic and social power of women and girls through leadership programs, educational opportunities, career training and development, internships, mentorship and more. In addition to grantmaking, the Foundation also engages in research, strategic communications, dedicated programs, and advocacy to support its mission. 

  • Amplify Her® Foundation communications are used to promote the mission and work of the Foundation, and that of our grantees as it pertains to our partnership. We do not share information (including events, job opportunities, etc.)  about or promote other organizations or initiatives.

How Does a NonProfit receive funding from amplify her® foundation?

  • While we recognize that fundraising events are valuable opportunities to learn and build connections with partners, it is the Foundation's policy that board members and staff do not attend fundraising events for organizations that are not past or current grantee partners of the Foundation. Rather, Amplify Her® Foundation welcomes the opportunity to attend other events for which fundraising is not the primary purpose. Board members and staff, however, are permitted to attend these fundraising events in a personal capacity.

HOW can I support the work of amplify her® foundation?

  • Amplify Her® Foundation is a private grant-giving foundation, not a public charity. Therefore we do not accept donations.

  • Amplify Her® Leadership Network is a dynamic group of professional women who have first-hand experience of the challenges becoming leaders in their respective fields. Amplify Her® Leadership Network members identify needs for women in their sector, recommend organizations that have demonstrated success and review grant applications. HOW IS AMPLIFY HER® FOUNDATION RELATED TO AMPLIFY HER® AND AMPLIFY HER® PAC?

  • Amplify Her® Foundation is a 501(c)(3) and a private foundation. Amplify Her® Foundation does not participate in, or intervene in (including the publishing or distribution of statements) any political campaign on behalf of or in opposition to any candidate for public office.

  • Amplify Her® Foundation, Amplify Her® Inc. and Amplify Her® PAC are separate organizations.

  • Amplify Her® Inc. is a 501(c)(4) organization focusing primarily on nonpartisan advocacy to address women's underrepresentation in New York City's elected offices by increasing women's participation in the political process and amplifying women's voices. 

  • Amplify Her® PAC is an independent expenditure committee that supports candidates endorsed by Amplify Her®. All Amplify Her® PAC activities, such as canvassing, phone banking, running digital ads, printing & distributing literature (palm cards, mailers) are NOT coordinated with candidates and their campaigns.
